Creations by Lynanne was started to replace the now defunct Natural Soaps Australia by Lynanne. As you grow older your priorities change in line with the state of your health and other lifestyle choices.

We both have different interests that we like to work on. Mine are now reborn dolls and making their wardrobes by mainly knitting vintage baby layettes. Unfortunately the patterns for these are limited in supply.
I currently have four layettes completed and a fifth one in progress. They can be found in the shop page and photos also on the photo gallery.
The items I have available are all in 100% acrylic yarn, which is machine washable. Although I am knitting mainly for reborn dolls, the layettes are all real baby patterns.
As an experienced knitter over many years, my preference is always to use pure wool or merino. However, for some the cost is prohibitive and for those there is always the choice of an acrylic/nylon blend or a 100% acrylic yarn.
I am happy to take orders in whatever yarn you desire and if that is pure wool then I am really happy to knit it.

Another interest that I am working on is weaving. This new skill is currently being utilised in making pillows/cushions and blankets for the babies. So far I have one pillow finished and another one just needing to be finished, which will happen soon.
I have completed a hand woven pram blanket, which has been the biggest project for me to date. I am in the process of edging it with a satin bias binding. It will look fabulous when it is finished. Also I am threading the loom for another one and I am planning on a matching pillow.
Lyn’s interests are very different and she enjoys wood-working. Currently she is setting up her workspace with all the tools, etc. she needs. In time there will be her items available for purchase, so keep a lookout for what’s coming.

Another interest Lyn is beginning to develop is glass engraving. She is hoping to make some decorative items very soon. Stay tuned for this exciting activity.
As you can tell we like to keep ourselves busy and I personally find it all really exciting and you never know when I’ll discover something else I want to try. Hmmmmm I’ve been thinking about bobbin lace and/or tatting. They sound exciting too.
